The People Behind the Care

We started with a simple idea: pets deserve attentive, personalised care. What began as a small operation in 2009 has grown into one of the most trusted pet care providers in the region.

How We Began

Margaret Chen had spent twelve years working in veterinary practice when she noticed a gap in the market. Owners leaving pets for boarding often seemed anxious, and when they collected their animals, something felt off. Pets were physically fine but emotionally flat. The standard approach treated animals as items to be stored rather than individuals to be cared for.

In 2009, Margaret converted an old farmhouse on the outskirts of Bristol into something different. Smaller spaces, higher staffing ratios, detailed intake assessments. The first year was difficult—the economics of personalised care don't favour small operations. But word spread among local dog owners, then cat owners, then small mammal enthusiasts. By 2012, the waiting list had grown long enough to justify expansion.

Today we occupy a purpose-built facility with the original farmhouse serving as our administrative headquarters. The principles haven't changed. We still limit numbers. We still conduct thorough assessments. We still treat every animal as if their wellbeing matters—because it does.

What Guides Us

The principles that shape every decision we make

Individual Attention

Every animal has a unique personality. We invest time understanding each pet's preferences, anxieties, and needs rather than applying one-size-fits-all protocols.

Honesty in All Things

We tell you what's actually happening with your pet. If there's a concern, you'll hear about it. If your pet had a wonderful day, we'll share that too.

Continuous Learning

Animal behaviour science evolves constantly. Our team attends training, studies new research, and refines our methods to provide the best possible care.

A Safe Environment

Physical safety is non-negotiable. Secure enclosures, proper ventilation, regular sanitisation, and constant supervision create a space where accidents are prevented.
